Democrat Tony Sasso won a close special election to replace Bob Allen in the Florida House, according to unofficial results.

Republican Sean Campbell called Sasso to concede just after 9 p.m., a Campbell campaign spokesman confirmed.

Sasso of Cocoa Beach was ahead by about 400 votes with results still outstanding in four Brevard County precincts.

His total was about 48 percent of the vote, compared to 45 percent for Campbell.

Jerry Maynard of Titusville, who had no party affiliation, finished a distant third with 7 percent of the vote.
